Evant ISD Calls for $9.5 million Bond Election to address deferred maintenance needs across the district

The Evant Independent School District Board of Trustees is proud to announce that a bond election has been called for November 4, 2025. The bond election aims to address safety and efficiency through renovation and deferred maintenance of aging facilities.

The proposal was developed by the Facility Planning Committee, made up of a cross-section of our community. They met over the course of several months to study and prioritize the needs of our school district. This has been part of a process the district administration began over a year ago that included countless hours of programming meetings, facility and growth studies, as well as gathering community input.

If approved by the voters, the bond will be used to finance replacement of roofs, HVAC systems, and flooring, which will require an asbestos abatement. Additionally, plumbing and electrical improvements as well as bathroom renovations and playground upgrades will be made to ensure safe use of district facilities by students and staff.

The district’s financial advisor has determined that there would be a $0.32 tax rate impact to finance $9.5 million in bonds. More information on the District’s website will be forthcoming, including a tax-impact calculator to help property owners see and understand how the bond will impact them.

Evant ISD encourages all eligible voters to participate in the upcoming bond election on November 4, 2025, and have their voices heard in shaping the future of the district. The deadline to register is October 6, 2025. Early voting begins October 22nd and runs through October 31st. Election Day is November 4, 2025.
