Dear Parents/Guardians:

As the 2025-2026 school year winds to a close, it is time to begin preparations for turning in school owned technology assets. The following devices will be collected the week of May 8th, unless other arrangements with teachers have been made:

Every student received the following:

  • 1 Chromebook (in its protective case)

  • 1 Chromebook Charger

  • 8th -12th grade:

    • 1 graphing calculator

    • 1 USB cable

We will collect all devices for cleaning, organization, re-assignment, and check for damages or defects before the '26-27 school year. Elementary students’ devices should be located in their homeroom classroom. Secondary students are allowed to take their technology home and may need your assistance in order to prevent any financial charges.

Other Frequently Asked Questions Include:

  • Teachers giving online semester exams will receive a class set of Chromebooks for testing (not taken home)

  • Elementary Quick Cards may be disposed of. New codes/cards will be generated next year.

  • Summer ACE devices will be available.

  • Summer STAAR retesting devices will be available.

  • Final exams for the secondary are typically the last week of school (May 19-21). 5/21 is an early release.

  • Seniors must have everything turned in before the 5/22.

  • Dual credit students test on May 6th, so they will not be affected.

Fees: (cost of replacement or replacement parts)

  • Lost Charger $15

    • all 6-12th student's chargers were labeled with the student's names

  • Lost Calculator: $138

    • all 6-12th student's calculators were labeled with the student's names

  • Lost Chromebook: $476

  • Screen replacement: $70 (only assessed for intentional/negligent damage)

  • Keyboard replacement: $30 (only assessed for intentional/negligent damage)

Any devices not turned in will be rendered unusable in an effort to get the school property returned. Evant ISD administrators have the right to retain report cards, transcripts, and diplomas based on outstanding fees or school equipment. Feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or issues.
