12/19-Evant Lady Elks Get Past Cranfills Gap Thanks To Strong Performances
Molly Waldrum and Bree Ramirez teamed up to lead the Evant Lady Elks past Cranfills Gap, 45-26, on Tuesday at Evant. Ramirez scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Waldrum scored 15 points.
Waldrum scored 15 points to lead Evant Lady Elks. Leading 14-12, the Lady Elks went on a 22-point run to pull further away. Evant had a strong first half, leading 34-12 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory. The Lady Elks had five assists in the second quarter, as they outscored Cranfills Gap 17-0.
The Lady Elks rebounded the ball well, collecting 40 rebounds. Ramirez led the team with 12 rebounds. Waldrum knocked down four shots from beyond the arc for Evant. The girls passed the ball well with 15 assists on 19 made baskets. Luwi Rodriguez led the team with six assists. Ramirez (10 points), Rodriguez (6 points), Izzy Gandy (4 points), Lexie King (4 points), Daritza Escamilla (2 points), Madison Barron (2 points), and Brinlea Bates (2 points) also pitched in for Evant.

12/4:Evant Lady Elks Lose To Cross Plains Even After Rodriguez Logs Double-Double
Luwi Rodriguez scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but the Evant Lady Elks still fell to Cross Plains, 41-35, on Thursday.
Evan faced a tough challenge as they fell behind by 10 points, but never gave up and tried to mount a comeback.
Leading 28-26, Cross Plains went on an 8-point run to pull further away.
Evant Lady Elks played particularly well in the fourth quarter, outscoring Cross Plains 7-5.
The Lady Elks rebounded the ball well, collecting 48 rebounds. Luwi Rodriguez led the team with 12 rebounds and 13 assists on 15 made baskets. Lady Elks pressured the ball all game collecting 13 steals- Izzy Gandy led the team with three steals. Also pitching in for Evant were Molly Waldrum (11 points), Daritza Escamilla (5 points), Bree Ramirez (4 points), and Brinlea Bates (1 point).
